Jeseník is a spa town located in the North of Moravia, on the confluence of the Bělá
and Staříč rivers, the driving distance to Olomouc being over 100 kms. It is the largest
town in the Czech part of the historical Nisa Principality. The population in 2011 was
12,204 inhabitants.
The Jeseníky tourist region is very diverse, with its profile ranging from flat areas to
mountain ridges. The highest points being Praděd (1,492 m) and Kralický Sněžník
(1,424 m) which are the most significant landmarks in the Eastern and Western parts
of the region. This coarse yet romantic landscape boasts ideal conditions for hiking,
mountain biking, skiing and relaxation.
